ACHIEVING EFFECTIVE CITY GOVERNMENT IN PUERTO RICO
After developing a mission to become a model city in Puerto Rico based on enduring principles, the mayor introduced The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to the city’s government and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens to the city’s students. Along with a reduction in crime and a decreasing homelessness rate since introducing the programs, 91 percent of the students now enroll in higher education as compared to the country average of 85 percent.
